Fahrenheit Heat Wave Double Trouble Ceramic Iron Set
I purchased this flat iron set at TJ Maxx for $34.99. Later when I visited the website for this brand I learned this set was worth well over $200.00 and felt quite accomplished with my savings. This set comes with one 1.25 inch ceramic flat iron, a mini ceramic flat iron that heats to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and a hair clip.
The 1.25 inch flat iron has temperature settings from 140 degrees Fahrenheit up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes things, at least for me a lot easier because I know just how hot I'm heating my flat iron instead of it saying it goes up to (insert temperature here) but has settings that go 5-30. I have incredibly thick curly hair and so even when I blow it out instead of letting it go natural, I still have to heat it to about 400 to get the desired result I want. That's just how it's always been with any straightener I've used so that's not necessarily a draw back. It has a on and off switch that pushes back and forth and it takes a couple minutes to heat up but again I'm heating mine up pretty hot. You'll know when it's ready when it stops flashing two lights of green and red to just being green. From then, remember to use heat protectant and straighten on!
The mini flat iron I don't actually care for. I had side bangs for a few months that I am now trying to grow out and also parting my hair in the middle. Well, I thought, "hey! This mini one will be fantastic to flatten my bangs!" No. Just no. It hurt and it pinched my hair so awfully. I just immediately unplugged it and plugged back in the full sized straightener and used it instead. It worked wonderfully to straighten my bangs and I will not be using the mini one ever again. I'm a little sad that I paid about four extra bucks for the set instead of buying just the flat iron (which was also there in the same color) but $34 bucks for a flat iron and a hair clip isn't that bad.
The hair clip I don't have a lot to say about. It's a hair clip, it works nicely to keep my hair up when I section it off to straighten it. It doesn't pinch my hair in ways that make me want to cry (unlike the mini flat iron.) All around good clip.
These flat irons can be found at fahrenheittools.com as well as any TJ Maxx over with the hair care and on Amazon (because let's be real, you can find ANYTHING on Amazon.) I got my set in the color Purple Metallic but they have tons of colors. I saw a really nice cobalt blue as well as a neutral brown color.
I hope you all found this review helpful and thanks for reading! Comment with any questions or suggestions (including what I could do with that awful mini iron.)
Thanks for recommending me Fahrenheit Flat Iron. Well, I am also using same flat iron from six months and I must say that this is best flat iron for any type of hairs. I am very impressed from your article!!
